Nearly 38 percent of eligible undergraduates cast a ballot in this month's student government elections, more than double last year's turnout, in a race that drew unusually high attention after two candidates clashed publicly over the university's dining contract.
The winning ticket campaigned heavily on a promise to renegotiate meal plan terms, an issue that had simmered on campus for much of the spring.
