The club rugby team will receive its first-ever line item in the university's club sports budget this fall, ending seven years in which players covered equipment, travel, and field rental costs entirely through personal dues.
Team leadership said dues had run as high as 450 dinars a season in recent years, a cost several former players said had discouraged walk-ons from joining.
